Banduk vaneko Nepali ma “Gun” ho baba??

Ekadesh ma euta boy scored 2 in his English test.he was happy coz previously he had got a “0”on which his mother had yelled “padhera thulo manchhe hunchha hola vanekota aalu aalu matrai lyauchha moro!!”but this time there was a digit other than zero, that was a 0.2 which he thought was a 2.oviously he was bad at both English and mathematics. One day while playing he asked for a gun from his friend “khai malai deta tyo banduk”, all his friend burst into laughter teasing him “kasto paakhe, gun lai banduk po vando raichha!”Poor boy he was embarrassed, he was sad…with the course of time encountering similar situations of angreji-english he began to sense a lot of gravity on his mother’s saying “angreji padhnu parchha, thulo manchhe hunu parchha babu”then he started learning English more like his ultimate goal in his life. He talked in English, thought in English and did every possible act in English. He had a pretty good life, married, with a baby boy. He used to read the English poems, stories, biographies and many things in English to the kid. One day the kid asked for the banduk saying “baba malai gun kindinuna” he was happy for his son asked for a banduk saying “gun” on the first.

One day, returning from school the kid seemed lil disturbed. Upon asked by his father he said that he did not know about a legendary person of who his entire friend knew about. He further went on describing this person, he was a great scholar, majored in English but continued to write in his national language, his works are translated in many language in the world, he did his work with all his devotion and honesty…the father asked who is he. The kid flatly answered “someone called Devkota”.The father realized that he has told all about Benjamin Franklin, Sir Isaac Newton, Marco polo ,Bill Gates, Robin hood, Shakespeare, Leonardo, Picasso, Einstein, Beethoven and many more but he left Devkota to his son.

Now a days the father reads books of Amar Singh Thapa,Bhanu Bhakta,Balbhadra Kuwar,Anuradha koirala,Pasang lamu Sherpa,Upendra Mahato,Mahabir pun, lekhnath Paudel,Motiram bhatta,Tara devi,Apa Sherpa,Anil gurung, sagar Thapa,Sakti Gauchan,Meheboob Alam, and many more to his son. And now they have some following kind of conversation

“Balbhadra kuwar le without arms fight jiteko ho baba?”

“ho,bina banduk le!”

“banduk vankeko nepali ma gun ho baba?”

“haina, gun vaneko chai nepali ma banduk ho babu”

“uniharu thulo manchhe ho baba?”

“ho,thulo manchhe…testai ramro kaam garnu parcha ani thulo manchhe hunu parchha babu…”
